Ways to Give

There are numerous ways to make a charitable donation to the Nicholls Foundation that will benefit Nicholls State University.  Gifts can take the form of cash (including checks and credit cards), stocks, securities, real estate and more complex gifts through a donor’s estate. Gifts of collectibles, such as rare books or works of art, may also be of value to Nicholls but should not be made without consultation with the executive director of the Nicholls Foundation.

The easiest and quickest way to make a donation is to use the following link Nicholls Foundation – Donate Now to make a gift via credit card with your MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover.  The online option will allow you to make a one-time contribution, a pledge payable over time, or a recurring monthly contribution, should you so desire.  If you would like to make a gift via check, it should be made payable to the Nicholls Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 2074, Thibodaux, LA 70310.

Please note that all gifts are tax deductible, to the extent permitted by law in the year of donation.

Additional Methods and Areas of Giving
In addition to the previous mentioned methods of giving, there are other methods where you can make an impact at Nicholls.  Here are a few methods:

Endowments
An Endowment is a long term investment into the future. While all gifts to Nicholls contribute to the high quality of educational opportunities, endowments are particularly meaningful as they offer a dependable, perpetual source of funding. The investment made with the creation of an endowment provides the type of support that makes a real difference in the lives of our students, faculty, and staff by enhancing their education, research, daily work and academic excellence. Naming Opportunities
Nicholls has numerous naming opportunities across campus, from smaller areas such as classrooms, conference rooms and academic centers to much larger areas such as buildings and colleges.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts are extraordinary ways for alumni or friends of Nicholls to make substantial gifts while benefiting from the income during their lifetime. These gifts usually provide favorable tax deductions and often reduce capital gains taxes on appreciated securities. For information about planned giving, please Click Here.

Matching Gifts
You can increase the size of your gift if you or your spouse work for a company with a matching gift program. If your company offers to match your donation, please obtain a matching gift form from your personnel office, complete it and return it with your contribution.

For more information about any of the above topics, please contact Jeremy T. Becker, Executive Director of Nicholls Foundation at 985-448-4006 or jeremy.becker@nicholls.edu.
